Among the easiest of houseplants to care for, Philodendron 'McColley's Finale' adds a pop of color to any room. Fresh foliage is bright red and matures to a muted green. In general, Philodendrons do not like to dry out between waterings, so be sure to keep the soil moist, but not saturated. Using a high quality potting soil and a planter with a hole for drainage helps prevent any problems with overwatering.
If possible, water these plants with water that has sat out overnight, or even rainwater, as these hybrids are a bit more sensitive to salts. If you'd prefer not to do this, give the plants a thorough drenching to wash out the salts once every couple of months. No direct sunlight, filtered only.
