While still young and not too impressive, 'Big Red Bird' will develop deep red foliage as it matures! The current juvenile foliage is textured and still a beautiful vibrant green.
This plant is happiest with bright, indirect light in your home, preferring a room with an eastern exposure and not allowed to dry out. Keep the soil consistently moist and you'll be greatly rewarded. These plants are fairly slow growing, too. So don't expect to see too much growth during the off-season.
Better pic of current plants coming soon! The second photo shows a mature plant with its red color.
