This particular variety of Medinilla is extremely unique in that it flowers on the stem rather than producing an inflorescence on the tip of the growth point (known as cauliflory). New foliage is soft pink/purple in color.
Plants will grow to several feet tall and wide within a few years. Size can be maintained by annual/semi-annual pruning. This specific variety of Medinilla does not like to dry out, so be sure to provide plenty of moisture. Plants grow best in a northern exposure or filtered sunlight.
