Tillandsia bulbosa is commonly referred to as "Medusa" and for good reason! T. bulbosa is ageotropic, meaning their foliage grows without respect to gravity; resulting in their wild foliage.
These particular plants are a little ways from blooming, but will become a fiery red! Then, they will begin to produce "pups," baby plants, around the base and will grow into a very nice clump within a few years.
These are a great choice for beginners because of how easy they are to care for. It is one of the few air plants that can thrive in lower light levels. Northern or eastern exposure is perfect for this plant.
