Also known as the Castle Pot since it is inspired by a pot made at the royal castle of Fredensborg in 1860. Over time, production moved to smaller potters in Copenhagen, where it was made until plastic pots began to grow in popularity in the 1960s. Steffen Berg found his inspiration in a beautiful pot he saw years ago in a former nursery. Today, potters make the pot in a small village near Lucca in Tuscany, Italy.
In time, your planter will develop a beautiful patina. It's made from the finest Italian clay and high-fired to resist frost and endure indoor-outdoor use. If you'd like your planter to remain pristine, simply use a vinegar/water solution and wipe with a terry cloth to clean.
The Petite planter is the perfect size for any of our 4" Houseplants to grow into. Meanwhile, the Medium planter is ideal for one of our 6" Houseplants.
